PRESS RELEASE: Unilabs acquires Saltro, significantly expanding its presence in the Netherlands
Geneva, 6 November 2019: Unilabs, the leading European diagnostic services provider, has acquired Saltro, one of the largest diagnostics companies in the Netherlands. Saltro has a strong culture of innovation, investing in promising areas such as home testing and self-sampling.
The deal significantly expands Unilab’s presence in the Netherlands, where it already has a solid presence through its Medlon unit.
Medlon is strongest in the east of the Netherlands, while Saltro is strongest in the centre. Together, they will become one of the Netherland’s largest and most complete diagnostics providers.
The transaction is set to take effect on 1 January 2020, pending regulatory approvals. No financials were disclosed.
