UNILABS WELCOMES ESTEEMED SWISS DERMATOPATHOLOGY PROVIDER INTO ITS GROWING PATHOLOGY NETWORK

Partnership aligns with Unilabs’ specialisation strategy and reinforces Unilabs' commitment to expanding its presence in Switzerland.

Geneva, Switzerland – 19 December 2024 – Unilabs, a leading international provider of diagnostic services, announced today the acquisition of kempf und pfaltz, a leading dermatopathology institute, headquartered in Zürich.

This partnership will put Unilabs at the forefront of dermatopathology by securing long-term, in-house, dermatopathology expertise and transforming Unilabs’ ability to serve customers and patients in the Zürich region.

In partnering with Unilabs, kempf und pfaltz will gain access to Europe’s largest private network of pathologists, as well as Unilabs’ leading AI and digital pathology capabilities, and operational knowledge, to further scale and develop its dermatopathology expertise and innovation.

Prof. Dr. Werner Kempf, Dr. Katrin Pfaltz and PD Dr. Ivan Hegyi from kempf und pfaltz will continue to lead the Zürich lab, ensuring continuity for its employees and referring doctors.
